June 2005 Edition

Meeting called to order at 8:35 PM. About 20 members and 20 guests (for OTAA convention) present.

Officer Reports

Secretary:

May minutes are on our web site.

Treasurer:

Bank - $1,200.00, Petty Cash - $60.00, Electric Fund - $1,825.00 Total - $3,094.00.

1. Paid $18 phone bill.
2. Paid $300 to Keith for land. $6,900 balance
3. Paid $495 to Marty for the shed and supplies to make the foundation for it. .

Observatory Director:

1. Twelve concrete posts have been set for the 10X16 roll of roof observatory which will be transported to the hill by Claridon Barns tomorrow, June 5, at 8:00 AM.

2. The RJ45 connectors on the 12 inch Meade will be replaced and that should clear up the problems with that scope.

Old Business:

1.) Dan had some older astronomy books available.


New Business:

1.) There are a number of eyepieces for sale that used to belong to Jim Brownfield. A list is taped to the Coulter 13” scope.

2.) There is sun filter material available for $10.00

3.) Next Friday we have a star party at the Rookery .

4) July 2nd is our next meeting date

5) There are two possible private star parties in July
