Meeting called to order at 2:30 PM. 5 members and 0 guests were present. This meeting was held in the library at Pen Glen.

Treasurer:

Bank – Member dues were summarized. $1,281.01 in Bank, Petty Cash - $62.00, Electric Fund - $1,152.00 Total - $2,495.01

1. Paid $49 phone bill.


Observatory Director:

No Report.

Director of Observations:

Copies of the December CVAS Monthly Sky Calendar were passed around. For Bob's complete observation report, please visit the Monthly Sky Calendar on our website.

No update.

Old Business:

Oberle Telescope - Geauga levy passed. They will have money for project. Meeting last Monday where architectural firm made presentation showing driveway and location of parking area and buildings.

• Electric Service – Next February we will request service. We are low on cash in the bank account and will have to pass the hat.

• Calendar – Case lecture Dec. 15 th.

• Andrew Jackson died from pancreatic cancer at age 57. He was one of the original founding members of CVAS.

• We should approach Lake Metro Parks to see if we can get some remuneration for supporting the super star party.

New Business:

Former owner of Cleveland Astronomics provided six lens blanks and a six inch mirror blank. These are available to anyone wishing to use blanks to make lenses of mirror contact Dan.

Lighting:

Larry filed a response to First Energy’s motion to dismiss and First Energy’s answer to his complaint.

Selected June 17 for our OTAA convention so that members can attend the June 24 event at Cherry Springs in Pennsylvania
