Update August 30, 2005

August 2005 Edition

Meeting called to order at 8:07 PM. Meeting was held at Penitentary Glen, same night as the Super Star Party. About 15 members were present along with over 600 visitors to the park.

Officer Reports

Secretary:

July minutes are on our web site.

Treasurer:

Bank – Member dues were summarized. $1252 In Bank, Petty Cash - $87.00, Electric Fund - $1,400.00 Total - $2,739

1. Paid $16 phone bill.


Observatory Director:

Electrical – We met with First Energy (Kim Wolfe) last Wednesday and agreed to use two poles and string triplex to the north end of the parking lot. Kim will send an e-mail documenting costs and asking for about 130 feet of triplex and two poles. Our goal this year is to bring electrical power to the north shed.

Old Business:

Formal complaint against First Energy is being reviewed by the City of Mentor.

New Business:

Hidden Hollow is coming up in late September.
