During the last week of October 2003, the sun emitted exceptional amounts of solar particles which provided us with 2 nights of auroral shows.  CVAS member Steve Fishman took the following photographs from the Cleveland Metroparks Polo field and the Jackson Road Field on the evenings of October 29 and 30 using a digital camera.  Exposures ranged from 10 to 16 seconds at f/2.8 and 400 ASA.  The pictures were slightly enhanced with PC software to brighten the images and intensify the color.
