Monthly Business Meetings

Monthly business meetings from May through October are held on the 1st Saturday of each month at our Indian Hill Observatory. They start at 8 PM, except for September - 7:30 P.M. and October 7 P.M. An observing session will follow each meeting.

The November through April meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of each month at
Geauga County's Sunnybrook Preserve Park. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM, but members are available 30 minutes earlier to meet with prospective members or anyone who wishes to discuss astronomy with us. Following is the meeting schedule for the next several months:

Local Conventions, Star Parties and Other Club Events

CVAS works with the local park districts including Cleveland Metroparks, Lake County Metroparks, Geauga Park District, various schools and scout groups by hosting star parties at Indian Hill Observatory and just about anywhere a group requests us. We also host an annual convention at our Indian Hill observatory and participate in conventions with other Northeast Ohio groups.  Please note that for The Geauga Park District programs this year, Saturday will be the alternate night if the Friday program is rained or clouded out.   Our Director of Observations, Bob Modic, will make the go/no decision by 3 PM of the event and contact all club members.
