emitted exceptional amounts of solar particles which provided us with a pretty good aurora on the night of November 7 thru the morning of November 8. CVAS member Steve Fishman took the following photographs
from the Cleveland Metroparks Jackson Road Field on the
morning of November 8 using a digital camera. Exposures ranged
from 10 to 15 seconds at f ratios ranging from f/2.8-4 and ASA ranges from 160-320.

This movie is a compilation of 35 separate images taken over a 40 minute period on the morning of November 10, 2004. It is about 1.1 Megabyte, so it will take dial-up users a couple of minutes to download it. This will give you a general idea of the aurora's motion and changes in light intensity. Sorry about the jerky left-right motion of the tripod as it was sitting on top of a picnic table. Near the big dipper slowly rising on the right side of the frame.
